The Crown
The Crown is the upper of the tree made up of branches and leave. Leave produce food for the tree by a process call photosynthesis which forms sugar carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight. Photosynthesis can only occur when chlorophyll ( what makes leaves green ) is present. The Process releases oxygen to the air.
The Trunk
The trunk can be described as the main body of the tree. It provides rigid support and carries water and food materials to the crown.
The Root System of the tree.
The root system of the tree acts as a firm anchorage against the elements whilst extracting essential water and nutrients, in the form of mineral salts, from the soil.
